- Has lived
in the Ojai Valley since 1980, is married to Ellen Hall and has
a 21 year old daughter named Serena.
- Holds a
bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
- Worked for
nine years with the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management
in California and Alaska as a fire management supervisor.
- Has taught
high school civics and history, was the editor of the Ventura
County Reporter newspaper and currently serves as the Preserve
Manager for the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, managing nearly
2,000 acres of open space in the Ojai Valley, including 3 miles
of the Ventura River.
- Has been
active in numerous environmental organizations over the past 25
years including the Citizens to Preserve the Ojai and the Surfrider
Foundation.
- Was co-founder
of the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy in 1987.
- Currently
serving his first term as a director for the Casitas Municipal
Water District.
