Casitas Seeks Balance with Minor Division Boundary Changes

Casitas' Board of Directors on Monday, May 8, 2006 voted to support some minor revisions in the boundaries between the District's five divisions to correct a population disparity that existed. In some cases, this population difference between divisions was greater than twenty-five percent. Casitas has a legal obligation to ensure that there is not significant difference in the number of people living in each division of the District. The new boundaries should meet Casitas legal requirements by ensuring that there will be a balance in the number of people living in each division.
