The Caltrans permit for work in Highway 192 has been issued and work will start soon. Highway 192 near Highway 150 at the Ventura/Santa Barbara County border will be affected.  Construction will involve a combination of traditional open-cut excavation and a trenchless method known as horizontal directional drilling (HDD). During this time there will be a lane closure on Highway 192 for several weeks, and a 24-hour full closure. We will provide further updates when the schedule and duration is known.
