UPDATE 5/20/20: While there is still much uncertainty to this unprecedented pandemic, the safety and well-being of our customers and staff remain a top priority. The District is following the Federal, State, and Ventura County guidelines with respect to park closures.

Given the nature of the current closures of State and Ventura County parks, the Lake Casitas Recreation Area(LCRA) is closed until further notice. This includes closure to pedestrians, bicyclists, vehicles, boating, and camping. No new camping reservations are currently being scheduled, and existing camping reservations through June 14th have been cancelled. Refunds and credits will be provided to the patrons affected.  Annual vehicle/boat decals will be extended on a pro rata basis relative to the closure period.

Though the Water Adventure will be closed for the 2020 season, the Lake Casitas Recreation Area is expected to open for day use at some point this year. The timing of re-opening will depend on the status of State and Ventura County park closures, including the re-opening of restrooms and parking areas at those locations. The District continues to monitor the situation and will re-open in a careful manner that protects public health and safety to the greatest extent possible.

Thank you for your continued support and patience during this time.
